Alisa Marks, Director of Human Resources, has over 30 years’ experience in business and human resource management in the hospitality, retail, and construction industries. She has worked for numerous national hospitality companies and was responsible for opening over 35 properties throughout the United States. She has also worked for large retail companies, including Target Corporation and Luna Carpet. A graduate of Northwestern University with a B.A. in Political Science and Computer Studies, Alisa grew up in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, OH, moved to Chicago for college and never left. At Rose Paving, Alisa is responsible for all human resource activity, including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, and legal compliance. She oversees the Great Place to Work Team and the Philanthropy Committee.  She is also a member of The Society of Human Resource Management and the local chapter of The Society of Human Resource Professionals. In 2018, Alisa was appointed to the Board of Directors for Companies that Care, the umbrella organization for Chicago’s AIM High, High School Student Mentoring Program.  In addition, she volunteers her time with the Illinois Holocaust Museum, Share your Soles and the Lincoln Park Conservatory.  She is also the recipient of the Leadership Award for Corporate Health and Wellness at the National Corporate Wellness Conference. Certifications include those in Health Care Reform, Corporate Wellness, and Voluntary Benefits. In her spare time Alisa likes to swim, travel, garden and cook for friends.
