Temps reached over forty degrees this weekend in Chicago!  Even with a little rain, what a great feeling!  Spring is coming!  Are you ready?  Is your property ready?

Preventative parking lot maintenance not only serves to beautify your property, but it is a solution used to prevent further deterioration of a parking lot.  After a long winter, your pavement has probably weathered many storms.  Now is the time to make some improvements.  A well-maintained parking lot will have a positive impact on all tenants, customers, employees, and the bottom line, which is especially helpful in today’s economic climate.

So, how can you make a great impression with your pavement?  Sealcoating is one of the most noticeable ways to improve curb appeal.  When covered with a dark black sealant, pavement looks and wears like new.  A sealcoat consists of either coal tar pitch or asphalt cement mixed with inert fillers, water, emulsifying agents, or additives.  Applied in thin coats, pavement sealing is used to protect off-highway pavement surfaces against gasoline, oil, salt, water, and ultraviolet rays.  There are also many eco-friendly alternative coatings that enhance solar reflectivity and are very cost effective.
