Meet Michele Jangie-Cruz, Account Executive at Rose Paving. With over fourteen years in the paving industry, she brings deep knowledge and valuable insights to the team. She began her career with Atlantic Southern Paving (ASP) and is now a key part of the Rose Paving national sales team.

How long have you been in the industry and with Rose Paving/ASP?

I have been in the paving industry for over fourteen years with ASP. I started as a receptionist, then worked my way through billing, creating proposals and following up with clients. From there, I moved to coordinating schedules with our production team and coordinating projects for national clients. Then, I became a national account manager.

Tell us about your current role. What does a typical day look like for you?

My current role is an Account Executive for our national sales team where I manage two accounts. One of them is very large and keeps me busy in the best way!

My typical day consists of constant communication with partners and project managers on open and new work orders, relaying information through the client’s portal to keep them up to date, creating jobs, getting completed jobs ready to bill, and submitting proposals for open work orders. I also put out any fires that come up throughout the day to keep everything on track.

How has your experience evolved throughout the merger between ASP and Rose Paving?

The merger between ASP and Rose Paving has been amazing. While change isn’t always easy, the transition is going smoothly, and I’m continuing to learn and adapt. I have been gaining efficiency, learning new processes, and leaning on my teammates along the way.

Being a part of ASP and now Rose Paving has been a rewarding experience. I am thrilled to be part of this evolving chapter and excited to see where it leads.

What sets Rose Paving/ASP apart from other paving companies?

Our culture is what truly sets us apart. Leadership at ASP has always had a strong instinct for building the right team, and I’ve seen that same approach reflected at Rose.

We may all bring different personalities and perspectives to the table, but we share the same values. We care about what we do and who we do it for!

What do you enjoy most about working at Rose Paving/ASP?

What I love most about my job is the people I work with. Some teammates I’ve worked with for years, while others I am still getting to know. We’ve made a lot of great memories together — and we’re still making new ones.

We have a lot of fun, encourage each other, and we always step up when someone needs a hand. That is what I enjoy the most.  

If you could describe your job in three words, what would they be?

A GOAL Digger

Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of work?

My interest outside of work is relaxing. I love to go camping! My husband and I try to take our RV out at least a few times a year. There is nothing better than the sounds of nature; it’s a significant source of decompression for me. 

What’s something about you that your coworkers might not know?

My work family knows me well, but if there was one thing they don’t know it’s probably “how I do my job”. Haha!
