For 48+ years, Rose Paving has been known for its big heart and helping hands and 2014 was no exception.  Not only did we give through monetary donations, our entire staff was involved with various charity events: we prepared meals for the Ronald McDonald House, we collected shoes and coats for those in need, and helped build housing for veterans.  In fact, we were able to increase our efforts over the prior year by 20 percent as we supported  21 charities.  The list is below.

Completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge; Collecting signatures in support of the ASPCA; Employees build homes for our nation’s veterans

Event participation:

  • Ronald McDonald House Employees and their families prepare home-cooked meals for folks staying at Houses throughout the Chicago-land area
  • Cancer Support Center Employees and their families participate in the organization’s annual “Walk of Hope”; Rose Paving also sponsors the event
  • AIM High (Center for Companies That Care) Employees mentored high-school aged students throughout the year
  • ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Several members of management participated in this Challenge throughout the year to raise awareness for ALS
  • The Home Depot Foundation Community Building Managers traveled to Arizona to help build housing for our nation’s veterans

Giving through donations:

  • The ASPCA As part of our “You Sign. We Give.” campaign, Rose Paving collected signatures at our industry trade show events throughout the year and donated $5 per signature to the ASPCA
  • Rush University Epilepsy Center Rose Paving sponsored the “Night of Comedy” event, of which 50% of sales benefited the Epilepsy Center
  • Share Your Soles We collected and donated shoes
