BRIDGEVIEW, IL – October 5, 2009
Rose Paving proudly sponsored the 11th Annual Walk of Hope organized by the JSF Cancer Support Center. More than $137,000 was raised by participants from all over the Chicago-land area, including donations from “Team Rose Paving” consisting of over 13 Rose Paving staff members and their families. The funds are used to provide free programs for people and their families fighting cancer in 70 Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana communities.
“It is a priority at Rose Paving that we encourage participation in community events. We are grateful for the opportunity to sponsor the Walk of Hope and we enthusiastically support the extraordinary efforts of the JSF Cancer Center, which helps to improve the quality of life to those families stricken by cancer,” said Alan Rose, CEO.
The event took place on October 4, 2009, at the Marie Irwin Park, 18120 Highland Avenue, Homewood, IL. Walkers could choose a 1-, 3-, or 5-mile course. Awards were given for the top school, top overall fundraising team, top corporate fundraising team, and a “family and friends” award.
