To minimize potential health and safety hazards, Rose Paving requires that all teams attend safety training.
Rose Paving utilizes a mandatory training day at the start of each season to indoctrinate and explain to team members the company philosophy on safety, the proper precautions required of every team member, and various potential hazards associated with particular jobs. We also utilize bi-weekly "tool-box" talks to reinforce these safety requirements and to continuously remind all team members of their role in the safety process.
In 2008, Rose Paving teams logged over 30,000 man-hours without a lost-time accident. We have also invested over 425 hours in safety training for team members in 2008. We continually strive for ways to make our teams safer. From the use of infrared cameras with the crackseal team and safety vests for all Project Managers and Site Engineers to a full-time Director of Operations who oversees the safety program, Rose Paving is committed to an accident-free and safe workplace for all employees.
