Alan Rose

Alan Rose, CEO & Founder, has been paving, sealcoating, studying, and teaching for more than 37 years.  He is a regular speaker at the annual National Pavement Expo, serves on the advisory board of Pavement magazine, and produces the Facilities Maintenance Conference to educate property/facility professionals on the latest industry trends and developments, especially concerning proactive pavement maintenance.  Alan takes pride in refining the training/educational department at Rose Paving, and expanding the business through additional branch locations.

He is also devoted to many philanthropic efforts, some of which include cancer and asthmatic research.  When he is not busy educating or growing the business, Alan co-owns a motor yacht and enjoys taking customers boating on Lake Michigan.

Edward Campbell

Edward Campbell, President & Co-Owner, has over 18 years of experience in sales, business development, and management. Prior to joining Rose Paving, he held various positions for The Edward Hines Lumber Co. including, ultimately, the role of regional manager. Currently, Ed is responsible for setting the overall direction for Rose Paving as well as assisting in sales, marketing, and operational initiatives. In 2009, he was offered and accepted partnership in the company.

Among his accomplishments, Ed served on the SPECS (Store Planning, Equipment, & Construction Services) advisory board. He is very involved in philanthropy and actively fundraises for Multiple Sclerosis at Rush University Medical Center.  Ed also sits on the Rush University leadership advisory board.  Ed holds a B.S. from the University of Kansas.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his wife and children.

C.B. Kuzlik

C.B. Kuzlik, Senior Vice President & Co-Owner, graduated from Missouri in 1995 with a B.S. in Management.  During his years in Missouri, he lettered in collegiate soccer and tennis and is still active today in both sports.  Immediately out of college, C.B. began his career at Rose Paving as a site engineer.  He quickly earned several promotions leading up to his current role as senior vice president.  In 2002, he was offered and accepted partnership in the company.  Among his numerous responsibilities, C.B. manages national accounts and is the leading salesman in the industry.

C.B. is an accomplished speaker and has presented at various industry events including PRSM, NFMT, and NPE.  His honors include “Chicago’s Young Executive of the Year” awarded by The Business Ledger and "Rising Star - 40 Under 40" by Chain Store Age magazine.

Chris Tanner

Chris Tanner, Vice President & Co-Owner, graduated with honors from Culver-Stockton College in 1995 with a B.S. in Business.  Prior to joining Rose Paving, he served as a branch manager for Capitol Group Incorporated located in Decatur, Illinois.  In 1997, Chris accepted a position with Rose Paving as a site engineer serving clients in the local market.  Since then he has worked in both the National & Regional Divisions, overseeing sales and operations.  In 2009, Chris was promoted to his current position as VP of the Regional strategic business unit (SBU), managing sales, operations, and marketing.  Also in 2009, he was offered and accepted partnership in the company.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and their 3 children.  His hobbies include investing, sports, traveling, playing golf, and attending his kids’ activities.

Tim Chimack

Tim Chimack, Vice President - Regional Sales Division, has been an effective leader in management and sales for over 25 years - primarily in the hospitality and construction industries.  Among his accomplishments, Tim has served on the Board of Directors for BOMA Suburban Chicago and is on the Education Committee for the Chicagoland Apartment Association.  He has taught parking lot management and budgeting seminars to business owners, property management firms & associations throughout the United States.  Tim now oversees the sales and operations for our newest facility located in Streamwood, IL. 

Tim is married to Patti and has 3 children, Tigue, Tristan & Peyton, along with two dogs Java and Kona.  In his spare time, Tim enjoys cooking for family and friends, taking annual family trips, and watching his kids excel in school and sports.  Tim is active in many philanthropic organizations.  He loves Starbuck’s, enjoys golfing, listening to music of all genres, movies, sports, and reading motivational books.

Jim Muckerheide

Jim Muckerheide, Chief Financial Officer, has over 20 years of experience in finance. Prior to joining Rose Paving, Jim served as the CFO for Focus Logistics, Inc. (a transportation and supply chain solutions company) and, in the same capacity, for DePaulo Incorporated. He also served as the Associate Dean of Administration for the University of Chicago, School of Dentistry. Currently, he is responsible for managing business development, expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and the IT department.

Among his accomplishments, Jim earned a B.S. in Finance from Illinois State University and an MBA in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was awarded his State of Illinois CPA Certificate in 1990. In his spare time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, basketball, mountain biking, motorcycling, golfing, and coaching basketball.

Joe Kopczynski

Joe Kopczynski, Director of Regional Operations, has over 17 years experience in sales, management, and project management. Prior to joining Rose Paving, Joe held sales management and project management positions at Nextel Communication and Comcast Cable. Joe has presented a project management essentials seminar at the National Pavement Expo. Currently, he is responsible for managing the daily operations and executing strategic initiatives for the Rose Paving corporate facility in Bridgeview.  These include costing, growth, and efficiencies.

Joe holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Loras College and an M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and children.

David Rivers

David Rivers, Director of National Operations, has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Rose Paving in 2004, Dave worked for a tennis court construction company in Colorado and managed a branch office for a construction recruiting company in California. Currently, he is responsible for managing operations from coast-to-coast, executing strategic objectives, and developing multiple satellite offices.

Dave holds a B.A. from Colorado State University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, watching hockey, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Alisa Marks

Alisa Marks, Director of Human Resources, has over 20 years experience in business and human resource management in the hospitality, retail and construction industries.  She has worked for numerous large hospitality companies and was responsible for opening over 35 properties throughout the United States.  She has also worked for large retail companies, including Target Corporation and Luna Carpet.   

A graduate of Northwestern University with a B.A. in Political Science and Computer Studies, Alisa grew up in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, moved to Chicago for college and never left.  She clearly calls Chicago her home. At Rose Paving, Alisa is responsible for all human resource activity, including recruiting, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations and legal compliance.  She is a member of The Society of Human Resource Management and the local chapter of The Society of Human Resource Professionals.  

Most recently Alisa received the Leadership Award for Corporate Health and Wellness at the National Corporate Wellness Conference.  In addition, recent certifications include those in Health Care Reform, Corporate Wellness and Voluntary Benefits. 

In her spare time Alisa likes to swim, travel and cook for friends.
