Paving the way around school schedules and budgets since 1974

School parking lots see constant traffic, but we’ve learned how to keep them looking sharp all year long. Our secret? Performing repairs and preventative maintenance during school breaks and carrying out gentle upkeep throughout the year. Learn how we put our winning combination to work for these educational institutions, and see the difference that professional paving makes for yourself.

Advocating for our client to get the job done right

The first lesson of Paving University: Long-term relationships with clients always pay off. A repeat customer in Chicago asked us for a proposal to resurface their entire lot, which totals more than 37,000 square feet. After factoring in their unique needs and pavement condition, our professional recommendation was that they perform the work at the depth of 3.5 inches. We were facing a competitive bid with a 0.5 inch lower scope, but our ability to be flexible and honest with our recommendation, scope and price helped us beat the competition and execute the project at full depth. Then, our crewmembers got started, working around a challenging layout, bollards in the middle of the lot and tight timelines to get the job done just in time for the school year.

Paving for students and visitors alike

In school, they teach you that teamwork makes the dream work, but our team saw it really come to life when we took on a huge job in College Park, Georgia. We scheduled the project for the summer break, but still planned our work around summer session programming and other activities. Over the course of a few weeks, our crews removed and replaced 400 square feet of asphalt to maintain its structural integrity and keep parking lots safe for all. We also cracksealed, sealcoated and striped 114,000 square feet of pavement to keep it looking sharp and welcoming for visitors. Regular preventative maintenance keeps this school’s facilities running efficiently during the busy school year.
